  erstellt  hat,  aber  keine,  die  sich  mit  Begegnungen  am  Arbeitsplatz  befassen.

English  Summary

Burkhart  Lauterbach:  Places  of  Work  -  Places  of  Integration?  Problems  of  Ethnological  Research
on  Refugees  and  Expellees
Based  on  an  inquiry  among  the  archives  of  several  dozens  of  large-scale  enterprises  the  article
discusses  the  quality  of  contacts  and  conflicts  between  local  populations  and  the  crowds  of  refugees
and  expellees  in  Post-War  Germany.  It  focusses  on  the  part  which  places  of  work  play  within  the
processes  of  integration  of  both  of  these  groups,  and  outlines  a  number  of  tasks  for  further  research
such  as  the  basic  critique  of  current  concepts  of  integration  as  well  as  the  necessity  of  comparatively
studying  patterns  of  contacts  and  conflicts  between  local  populations  and  migrant  groups  in  general.
